Karunya Guidance Centre
Many are the destitute who come from distant places to the Medical college and its allied hospitals seeking treatment and a cure for their ailments, who are unable to afford a place to live, or costly therapy and medications, who find sanctuary and aid at the Karunya Guidance Centre. Modified into wards and rooms, there is enough space at the Karunya Guidance Centre for 150 patients and their aides. Those who seek refuge at the guidance centre, stay for a period of upto 2 days to 6 months or more, (many of the patients being victims of cancer),pursuing their treatment and yearly, 4000-5000 people without other recourse find shelter at the Guidance Centre.
Karunya Cancer & Kidney Care

Karunya identifies a hundred eligible cancer and kidney patients hailing from poor backgrounds and provide them with financial aid to continue the treatment for their afflictions. More than 20-25 pediatric patients below the age of 10 are staying with the centre.
Karunya Kids Care

The greatest agony in one’s life is to witness their children being ill, especially with life threatening ailments like Cancer. In such cases, the treatment period may be more than a year. Karunya provides counselling, food, accomodation, emotional, and financial support to the family as a whole. At a time, more than 20 children with cancer can be found staying at the Karunya Guidance Centre.
Karunya Home Care
This is a program through which those of our brothers and sisters who are in physical or mental agony and anguish, due to many reasons such as poverty, disease, loneliness or even death are visited and consoled. The Home Care team includes experts from various fields including medicine. For those who are in financial dire straits, care- both as food and medical treatment are given absolutely free of charge. The weak, disabled and orphans are not left behind but are adopted by Vishranthi Bhavan.
Karunya Ambulance Service
There is a 24 hour Ambulance service at Vishranti Bhavan. Mainly used for transportation of patients at our institutions, the service is also extended to poor patients outside of the institutions and for transporting the dead bodies of the financially distressed to their homes from hospitals. The service is run on a nominal fee.
